Your role:

Reporting to the Head of Security, as our new Security Engineer you will manage the day to day security operations, and respond and resolve security incidents as soon as possible. In addition to the BAU you will also discover system weaknesses and improvements, as well as build new systems to support our security strategy and improve overall corporate and customer security. 

What YOU get to do:

  • Conduct daily/weekly security system health check-ups
  • Review and consistently improve existing processes and procedures in an agile and fast moving IT environment, to mitigate security risks and future incidents
  • Perform security audits for user accounts, access, customer systems and assets
  • Maintain documentation and add amendments regarding vulnerability scans and analysis
  • Support Group security strategy, and participate in team goals to ensure success for the organisation

What YOU will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Security is highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in IT Security is essential
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with common information security management frameworks
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities in an environment of continuous change and complexity
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Team player with a desire to collaborate
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
