The role:

As our new Technical Lead you will be responsible for developing and delivering applications that facilitate the achievement of business outcomes. In your role you will be expected to provide team and technical leadership, design and development of components within the Business Growth or Integration stream. You will have the opportunity to work with other senior developers to agree on general architecture principles for integration of components into the common platform

What YOU get to do:

  • Implement solutions, deliver new and improved functionality and sift time-to-market requirements
  • Contribute to technical direction of the design and strategy for new and existing systems
  • Prepare estimates and liaise with internal customers
  • Work with project stakeholders to deliver quality, robust solutions
  • Provide design and code review, including documentation
  • Respond to critical issues that may arise in production
  • Team line management, provide leadership in staff engagement, development and training

What YOU will have:

  • A keen desire to learn and develop in other technologies that may be required for project delivery
  • Experience in developing in an agile environment, utilising Java EE, SQL 
  • A good understanding of development best practices and Design Patterns – including Agile development
  • The ability to define technical strategies and mentor a team towards collaboratively realising those goals - including code reviews and responding to any critical issues 
  • Skilled in working as an effective technical specialist and developing working relationships that are needed to accomplish organisational goals
