The Role

The Agile Project Manager is a results-oriented professional with a strong ability to manage diverse multi-disciplinary teams through the delivery of mobile application solutions whilst fostering and maintaining positive relationships with Outware and client stakeholders.

The PM responsible for managing the project from inception through delivery whilst ensuring timelines, scope, estimations, and quality are met.

Responsibilities

  •      Planning, scheduling, and managing your mobile app projects through to successful delivery
  •      Facilitation of definition and scoping activities between internal teams and client product owners
  •      Learning and applying the Outware Agile development process
  •      Preparing the project plan and communicating milestones
  •      Request and coordinate internal project resources, building your team to meet your delivery requirement
  •      Showcasing and reporting in a lightweight and concise manner using velocity metrics for both internal and external audiences
  •      Tracking project risks and issues through to resolution
  •      Run stand-ups, kick-off sessions, showcases and retros as per agile delivery methods
  •      Proactively identifying and solving client challenges through creative problem solving
  •      Managing project change, client expectations and mitigation of variance
  •      Collaborate  and effectively coordinate across functions with Outware's UX and visual design, mobile and integration services development, and Quality Assurance teams to achieve results
  •      Innovate by proactively contributing to ongoing process improvements in Delivery and across all Outware projects/disciplines
  •      Collaborate, share ideas, be passionate, and inspire your colleagues
  •      Provide input to wider project decision-making and prioritisation
  •      Strong communication skills ensuring cross-collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders ensuring a global understanding
  • On occasion, travel to Sydney and to the Melbourne office may be required for project work or company events

Preferred skills and experience

  •      4+ years experience in software development project management, in the digital, web or IT industries
  •      Experience in a mature Agile environment with strong knowledge of Agile ceremonies, development principles and tools
  •      Demonstrated hands-on experience managing enterprise Agile delivery
  •      ScrumMaster / PMBOK certification preferable
  •      Tertiary qualification preferred (ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering or HCI otherwise a related university degree)
  •      Passionate about mobile apps and mobile technology
  •      Excellent people skills & collaborative attitude
  •      Persuasive and confident communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions with different stakeholders and audiences across the client organisation
  •      Proven experience in delivering projects at a high level, on time and on budget
  •      Experience in direct Dev Team management, rather than as a Business PM
  •      Accuracy and attention to detail in daily and weekly communication ie reports
  •      Ability to work at high speed, multi-task, and manage multiple workstreams (like a spider)
