Your role:

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join the Melbourne team as our Financial Accountant. Reporting to the Group Accounting & Reporting Manager, you will support the Group Accounting team in meeting Finance department requirements and assist in meeting all internal reporting deadlines and statutory obligations.

What YOU get to do:

  • Complete month end tasks as assigned and directed by the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and provide variance analysis
  • Prepare and enter journals and financial transactions as required
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist in production of half year and annual statutory accounts, including consolidation, and supporting information required for note disclosures
  • Assist in preparation of analysis and documents for tax requirements including preparation of tax returns, BAS, FBT returns

What YOU will have:

  • Degree qualified in Commerce, Business or Accounting
  • CA or CPA qualified
  • Demonstrated work experience with listed or large private businesses, ideally in a corporate
  • Experience with annual external audits and statutory accounts preparation
  • Experience with the completion of tax requirements including preparation of tax returns
  • Strong technical skills and a commercial mind set
  • A winning attitude
