We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Enterprise Services team as a Cloud Engineer- Linux on a 12 month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Managed Services Delivery Lead, you will work directly with our customers' teams as well as helping a broad range of colleagues to use commodity cloud services and our frameworks and IP to solve our customer's business problems.
The Managed Services division brings automation, infrastructure as code and DevOps culture to customers solutions. You will contribute to the design and build solutions including automation for infrastructure, applications (namely monitoring, metrics, log analysis and server deployment) and supporting our customer's diverse development teams.

Own 3rd level technical support to Melbourne IT's enterprise customer base. Work with Technical Groups and Customers for Incident, Problem and Request resolution to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Building services for our team. One of the primary drivers of our group is to enable the Cloud Practice to be even better for our customers. So you'll improve our existing services, make them scale, make them more reliable. You'll also build new services when you see an opportunity to help your colleagues.
Share your knowledge. Provide technical coaching, mentoring and documentation with your colleagues.
What you will have:
Previous experience working for a web-hosting company, Managed Services Provider (MSP) or similar service provider.
Extensive exposure to Linux hosted services (RedHat, CentOS, MySQL, Apache, etc) within a cloud environment
Significant experience with automation of Linux platforms and services through scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell, etc
Experience with managing and operating technical platforms on AWS or cloud equivelant
Analytical and decision making skills
Computer Science Degree or Technical equivalent
Previous experience with Content Management Systems (CMS), WordPress, Adobe CQ, Magento etc
DevOps mindset and experience with common pipeline tooling (Ansible, GitHub, Terraform, Jenkins, etc)
Linux certifications desirable
